These pages are intended for local authorities, parish councils, non-unitary authorities, police and other interested agencies that have power to make Orders. It includes general information, guidance, legislation and best practice for those authorities that have introduced or are proposing areas to restrict consumption of alcohol in designated public places, in order to help them achieve and sustain reductions in alcohol related crime and disorder and under -age drinking in areas that have evidence of alcohol nuisance associated with them.
