Laws against fireworks misuse are there to protect communities. Misuse offences relate to throwing, possession and controlling the time of their use. Other laws regulate the supply and sales of fireworks.
Many CDRPs plan special campaigns and operations in conjunction with other local partners to tackle firework problems during the autumn period and in the run up to Christmas, New Year and other large celebrations. To help you run a successful campaign we have published an updated Fireworks guide and a new pocket sized tools and powers crib sheet.
This guide builds on previous Together and Respect firework guides and includes details on the tools and powers available, licensing, curfew times and two case studies. The crib sheet has been produced following feedback from practitioners for a small pocket sized tools and powers pull out. We hope you find this useful.
