Here are some suggestions for what you can include in the Appendices section of your audit report.

Appendices provide additional detail for readers with specialised interests.  Any supplementary materials that you need to include in your report, but which are not crucial to the understanding of the audit, should be included in this section.

Typical appendix items are:

  • detailed tables, charts and statistical analyses.

  • copies of instruments and documents used.

  • glossary of terms including acronyms.

Include your appendices in a separate volume if they are likely to make your report appear large because some readers may find this off-putting.
