Operation Iceberg: Demonstration Visit

Purpose of visit: To provide community safety practitioners with an insight into an innovative approach to asset recovery that has made a real impact at neighbourhood level.

If you are Community Safety practitioner who is currently involved with or interested in Asset Recovery and would like to know how this has been successfully carried out in other part of the country then this demonstration visit could be for you.

Operation Iceberg is an extremely enlightening project and has been promulgated as an initiative that can make a real impact locally.  The predominant focus of Operation Iceberg is to reduce acquisitive crime and using every opportunity under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 to strip offenders of their assets.

The aim of the session is to provide a further insight into how this team approached asset recovery, plus an opportunity to meet and question those who were involved in the operation.  A number of products will also be available for attendees.
