Key points of the presentation
Government Office London (GoL) partnerships are diverse and include single issue partnerships that are resident driven, and cross borough partnerships
GoL's crime reduction role includes joining up the Government Office, driving forward data sharing and problem solving, monitoring effectiveness, administering funding streams amongst others. Some see a tension between the monitoring role (audit) and the support role (advice)
Some of the successes of GoL work include black & minority ethnic group work with the Greater London Authority
Threats that still exist to GoL partnership support include the different cultures, shortage of experts and excluded groups
Headline issues for the immediate future include resolving data sharing issues, and making strong links between Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships and other partnerships.
