SE1 7DU. Let’s make it accessible is a Cabinet Office publication written to help public-sector bodies develop a strategy to meet the needs of disabled customers. It is intended to encourage the adoption of good practice across the public sector and promote a more uniform standard of service. It can be downloaded from the Cabinet Office website (www.cabinet-office.gov.uk/servicefirst/2001/joinedup/accessible/contents.htm) or ordered from 0207 273 4718. The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) provides detailed guidance on producing information for people with sight problems in a number of different formats. This material can be downloaded from the RNIB’s website. The RNIB also publishes the See it Right pack, a series of 12 booklets with practical advice on designing, producing and planning for accessible information, which can be ordered from the address below:

The NSPCC produces Two Way Street,
a pack that includes a training video and handbook about communicating with
disabled children and young people. Copies are available from: Mencap, the charity for people with learning disabilities, publishes Am I making myself clear?, information about making your communications more accessible for people with a learning disability, and Making your website accessible for people with a learning disability, guidelines for web designers.
