Welcome to this month's bulletin of new material on the Crime Reduction Website.

Awards

The 3 winners of this year's Tilley Awards for problem-oriented policing have been announced. The awards will be presented at the Problem Oriented Partnerships Conference, Birmingham on 7 September (for which you can also book a place on the website)

The Deputy Prime Minister's Award for Sustainable Communities is also running again this year and the ODPM are looking for nominations for the best projects running around the country

Domestic Violence

A new addition to our Domestic Violence Mini-site is a helpdesk. Here you can see the answers to some of the questions that cut to the heart of key DV issues and put your own question to the team.

Also new on the site is a Home Office research report that looks at the extent of domestic violence, together with other forms of sexual assault including stalking.

Consultation: Fraud Law Reform

The Government is considering creating a general offence to cover false representation, wrongfully failing to disclose information and abuse of office. and is seeking views on the workability of the proposal. Readers might also want to consider the current consultation on identity fraud, also flagged from within the same article.
