The Home Office Organised Crime White Paper of March 2004 set out our vision to make the UK 'one of the least attractive locations in the world for organised crime to operate'.

A later consultation paper New powers against organised and financial crime was produced in response and many of its proposals were enacted in the Serious Crime Act 2007.
