Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships – Waiving the requirement on CDRPs to produce annual reports 2004- 2005

Section 97 (10) of the Police Reform Act 2002 requires Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs) in England to submit an annual report on the implementation of their strategies to the Secretary of State by the end of April each year. Welsh Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) are required to report to both the Secretary of State and the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG).
As CDRPs and CSPs will be publishing strategies in April 2005 and these will cover similar ground, partnerships are not required to submit a report the year 2004 -2005. We will consider whether to require annual reports in future years in the light of the findings of the review of the partnership provisions of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
