The Prolific and other Priority Offenders Strategy
JTrack
Helping you manage Prolific and other Priority Offenders
The Prolific and other Priority offender (PPO) strategy has been designed to target the relatively small number of individuals who cause a disproportionate amount of crime and disorder in our communities. The concept of local partners operating together to concentrate their efforts on these locally identified individuals is central to the strategy. The Home Office has worked to continuously develop the JTrack system so that it is of most benefit to PPO schemes and local partners.
JTrack is a multi-agency resource
JTrack helps local partners co-ordinate their approach to targeting PPOs. It allows over 2,500 practitioners across all police forces and Crown Prosecution Service areas in England and Wales to track offences from arrest to finalisation in a consistent way and measure their success in doing so.

How do I access JTrack?
JTrack is a web application held on a the Criminal Justice Extranet (CJX), a secure network. In some Police and CPS areas you may have a link on your desktop, on your Intranet Home Page or in your Favourites - or through recently developed 'Single Sign On' functionality. If not, the system is accessible to CJX users through their internet browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Netscape). Contact your local IT helpdesk for help accessing JTrack.
There are two sites for Users to access:
Training Site – for use during training sessions or for practice: http://jtrack.pnn.police.uk/training
Live Site – for entering real data onto JTrack: http://jtrack.pnn.police.uk
Visiting the help section on the JTrack homepage will provide you with more details on how to access the system.
Note: These links are only accessible to those on the CJX (Police/CPS) network. Work is underway to extend access to Users on the Government Secure Intranet. It is expected that this will be achieved in Autumn 2008.
