Partnership Action Plan RAG (Red, Amber, Green) rating
Q: What is the RAG rating for?
A: The RAG rating is an indication of the level of confidence that an Action Plan will deliver what is needed to meet PSA1.
- Red: The current plan will not delivered what is required
- Yellow: The current plan will deliver a significant element of what is required
- Green: The current plan is expected to deliver what is required
Q: Who is responsible for completing the RAG rating?
A: The GO/Partnership will assign a RAG rating and this is then reviewed at the centre by their PSM who should confirm RAG assessment for each plan on the basis of their CDRP performance to date and overall likelihood of their planned actions successfully addressing the shortfall to PSA1.

Q: Where can I get additional support for completing my Partnership Action Plan?
A: If you have any questions regarding the completion of your Action Plan please consult the field by field guidance on worksheet 1 of the Progress Report, contact your PSM or Ali Hewison ali.hewison@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
Sending and Receiving the Partnership Progress Report
Q: I am responsible for updating the Partnership Action Plan s and would like to receive correspondence directly, who do I contact?
A: Please send an email to ali.hewison@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk with your contact details so that you can be added to the distribution list and be sent correspondence directly.
Q: Who do I return my updated Partnership Action Plan(s) to?
A: Updates to individual Action Plans should be returned to ali.hewison@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk copied to your PSM on the specified dates (see ‘When are updates due for returning the Partnership Action Plans ' for further details on dates.)
Timetable for returns
Q: When are updates due for returning Partnership Action Plans?
A: A timetable has been created to tie in with fortnightly Partnership Action Plan Review meetings and a monthly PM report. Requests for updates, along with the Priority 44 Progress Report, will be sent out to HORDDs on a fortnightly basis, allowing a week for feedback and updates.
The next updates are due:
- Thursday, 24th May
- Thursday, 7th June
- Thursday, 21st June
- Thursday, 5th June
Top tips for working with Excel
Q: I want to view my Partnership Action Plan in full on the computer screen, how do I do this?
A: Go to ‘View' and click on ‘Page Break Preview'
You may also want to reduce the % view in the tool bar. Depending on your settings, this will vary but 60% should ensure that Action Plans can easily be read on the screen.
Q: I cannot get the text to fit in one Excel box, how do I resolve this?
A: Highlight the relevant cells. Go to ‘Format' -> Cells -> Alignments and ensure that the ‘Wrap text' option is set.
Q: The Priority 44 Progress Report is quite large to email, how can I avoid sending it as a large document?
A: If you do not want to email the entire Progress Report, you can delete the other worksheets and only return the relevant updated Action Plans for your area.
