Section 97 (3) of the Police Reform Act 2002 gave effect to the government's intentions to bring Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs) and Drugs Action Teams (DATs) more closely together, through either merger or closer working relationships. Nacro's research asked members of CDRPs and DATs about their needs, perspectives and activities in preparing for working more closely together. The full report will be published later this year; this summary presents the key findings and suggests some key themes for the future.
