Home Office Self-Assessment Training for CDRPs and DATs

Background

The Home Office has developed a combined self-assessment framework (SAF) which will assist Crime and Disorder Partnerships (CDRPs) and Drug Action Teams (DATs) to judge how they are performing as a partnership. Undergoing a self-assessment is a recognised method of identifying strengths and areas for improvement in organisations, businesses and public bodies. The SAF consists of a form, accompanying guidance on the process and prompts to assist partnerships in completing the form.

The SAF has been sent to CDRPS and DATs. Copies of all supporting documents are available on the self-assessment Home Page.

With the exception of Welsh partnerships (who will complete in January 2004), introductory training on the self-assessment framework has now finished.

A distance learning package for CDRP and DAT self-assessment is available below. This is based on the national introductory training delivered to Government Offices and partnerships in October and November 2003.

Contents

Each of these modules is available as a series of slides with accompanying voiceover (the voiceover is also available as written notes). several of the modules also contain exercises - you'll find more details in the module itself.

You don't need to listen to all of the modules at once. Many people won't need to take all of the modules at all.

The slides use MP3 sound files. If your browser doesn't support an MP3 plug-in then you won't be able to hear them. The full technical requirement is outlined at the bottom of this page.

If you prefer, you can download a training pack which includes each of the modules as a PowerPoint show and all of the exercises as Word files (the notes are not voiced in this presentation) together with copies of the form and guidance.
