Leeds Universities Crime Reduction Partnership
Statement of Aim
The aim of the partnership is to ensure that measures are taken to provide a safe learning environment for students who study at the universities in Leeds. This is in recognition of data provided by West Yorkshire Police which shows that students are a significant victim group. Key activities for 2003/04 are:
To provide a range of guidance, support and advice to students during freshers and induction weeks 2003
To provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to students on this matter during the 2003/04 year
To assess students' perception of crime and the effectiveness of activities
To share and, where possible integrate, common core information related to crime between partners
