1 Purpose of this guidance

This guidance has been written for people consdering entering their project into the 2008 Tilley Awards. The guidance has been designed to enable entrants to:

  • decide whether the project is ready to be entered into the awards
  • put together the best possible application form
  • know what to do with the application form when completed
  • know what to expect once the form has been submitted.

2008 is the 10th anniversary of the Tilley Awards and therefore some key changes have been made to the awards this year e.g. annexes and footnotes are no longer permitted, the introduction of the pre-marking service to receive feedback on early draft applications etc.

Please read this guidance very carefully as any application form which does not comply with the guidance will be returned to the author and therefore may miss the deadline for the competition.

We do, however, wish to provide as much help as possible. To this end, any queries about application entries, or the proper procedure to follow should be directed to Alex Blackwell on 020 7035 4811.
