1. Purpose of this guidance
This guidance has been written for people considering entering their project into the 2009 Tilley Awards. The guidance has been designed to enable entrants to:
- decide whether the project is ready to be entered into the awards
- put together the best possible application form
- know what to do with the application form when completed
- know what to expect once the form has been submitted.
Ensuring that the entry procedure and award scheme encourages submissions is an evolving process and so they are continually assessed. This year is no different and the Home Office has made some changes to the 2009 guidance.
Please read this guidance very carefully as any application form which does not comply will be returned to the author and therefore may miss the deadline for the competition. We do, however, wish to provide as much help as possible. To this end, any queries about application entries, or the proper procedure to follow should be directed to Alexandra Birtwistle on 020 7035 4811.
