Anti-social behaviour can arise in any neighbourhood.
Home Office research found that in a sample of 10 local authorities taken from
the least deprived areas in England, all had strategies that identified disorder issues
as a concern; 16:
Recent Home Office analysis of data on a small sample of Crime & Disorder Audits
and Strategies suggested that the more serious the anti-social behaviour problems
were prevalent in the most deprived areas. 17:
Metropolitan authorities were found to be 8 times more likely to say that they
had a ‘big problem’ or ‘very big problem’ than the national average.
