Beacon Councils

The Beacon Council scheme for 2000/2001 recognised local authorities at the forefront of best practice in preventing local shopping area and town centre crime and disorder. Successful councils were:

Bradford

Coventry

Eastleigh

Medway

Stevenage

Tameside
