Focus area and district profiles

The partnership group responsible for overseeing the implementation of the local Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy will need to meet regularly. This group requires up to date information describing focus area and borough wide crime and disorder patterns, including stage reporting on the implementation of crime and disorder reduction initiatives. Reporting information for this type of group should include,

  • crime and disorder reduction program implementation reports

  • crime and disorder profile (e.g. a table of crime and disorder incidents broken down by focus areas and wards, and possibly aggregated to other areas of responsibility e.g. neighbourhoods)

  • crime and disorder category change profile (by borough, ward and focus area)

  • crime hotspot maps.

This information helps to provide a strategic view on the implementation of reduction programs, how crime and disorder is changing, where it is changing, areas for attention and the setting of priorities. The reports can used by the partnership and for their own agency dissemination to further discuss areas for attention and actions for crime and disorder reduction.
