Getting Started
Scoping Meeting
Crime and disorder reduction partnerships are now well established and each partnership
should have an agreed process of arranging and holding meetings of the partners.
Partnerships should consider a meeting specifically to consider the audit process
and ensure that attendance represents the statutory status of the audit. This is
in terms of both the level of representation from each partner and the range of organisations
that should be involved.
It is important to ensure that those attending area fully aware of what the meeting
is intended to achieve. Setting an agenda for the meeting is a matter for local discretion
but; there are key areas which should be identified in advance of the meeting:
to develop and agree an auditing process inclusive of local groups, organisations
and the community for delivery of an effective crime and disorder reduction strategy.
to set an agreed programme and timescale for identifying, collecting and applying
information sources
agencies should be asked to provide a short summary in advance of the meeting of
what they can bring to the audit process in terms of data/information and resource.
A written summary report can then be circulated in advance of and discussed at the
meeting
