Data Sources Used in the First Round of Audits

‘A Review of Audits and Strategies produced by Crime and Disorder Partnerships in 1999’ Home Office Briefing note 8/00 Nov 2000 http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/prgpubs/brfn0800.pdf showed that of the 259 (69%) audits surveyed:

  • The average number of data sources used per partnership was 14.

  • Most partnerships (91%) used more than six data sources.

  • Over one third included over 16 different sources of data.

  • Data from statutory consultees was often not included within the audits.
