The fundamental challenge with managing crime and disorder
data is that individual agencies collect data for their own
needs. Many agencies have traditionally not shared data with
other agencies or collected information on cross-cutting issues
such as crime, which may fall outside the core and ancillary
tasks of these agencies. Consequently, there are a number of
