Toolkit Index

Sample Approach

Click here for a table giving a sample approach of scoping the analysis and auditing requirements of a data management system. It provides examples of what tasks need to be undertaken, where the data is available, the limitations of the data and offers some solutions to deal with local limitations.

The table focuses on crime, disorder, victim and offender data. It is not a comprehensive account but an illustrative tool for partnerships to develop. Partnerships will need to look wide and identify tasks such as identifying information on repeat victimisation, youth offending, perceptions of crime etc. The other Toolkits in the series provide examples relating to specific areas of crime and criminality http://www.crimereduction.gov.uk/toolkits/index.htm.
