Responding to Crime, Disorder and Fear on Public Transport
This section of the Toolkit reviews promising responses to
crime, disorder and fear on public transport. It begins by
summarising information about how best to tackle a number of common
problems: robberies and assaults committed against employees; theft,
robberies and assaults committed against passengers, and vandalism
and graffiti committed against system property. It then reviews some
examples of designing out crime from transport facilities and
concludes with a discussion of order maintenance policing.
