Types of Racial Incidents

Racist incidents cover wide-ranging behaviour, including:

  • Assaults (GBH; ABH; Common)

  • Criminal damage (slogans/graffiti)

  • Offensive behaviour (threatening/abusive/insulting)

  • Harassment (designed to cause the victim alarm or distress)

  • Stalking

  • Sending a letter/article conveying indecent or grossly offensive message or threats

  • Nuisance telephone calls

  • Arson
