Fear of Racially Motivated Crime

The British Crime Survey (2000) http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/bcs1.html revealed that the following were fairly or very worried about racially motivated assaults:

  • 60% of Asian respondents

  • 51% of black respondents; and

  • 12% of white respondents

women were particularly concerned. About 4 in 10 Asian women and a third of Black women were ‘very’ very worried about racial attacks.
