Outline Approach

The Report of the Policy Action Team 8 on Anti-Social Behaviour made a number of recommendations which concentrate on specific action that must be taken to combat racial harassment through Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships.

The recommendations relating to tackling racial harassment have five key themes, which have been accepted by Government:

  • Zero tolerance of racist action

  • Improved reporting

  • Monitoring

  • Taking tough action

  • Victim and witness support
