Robbery Reduction Action Plan

An action plan which seeks to ensure the reduction of street robbery in the borough

Three hotspots identified – Dalston TC/Hackney TC and Stamford Hill

Sector inspectors completed action plans. Circulated to potential partners for comment

Operation Talon (3 months street robbery reduction programme commenced 1.7

 

Repeat Offender Targeting Project Plan

Programme for targeting and inter-agency intervention with repeat offenders

Police and CST identified list of 12 prolific robbers

Information now to be cross referenced. Information exchange protocol produced by local CI and agreed by relevant organisations

Performance targets produced by Police and CPS in relation to adult and persistent youth offenders in terms of charging, court appearances and numbers of hearings.

Awareness and prevention campaign planned and delivered on a quarterly basis

Project completed

Hackney Police delivered extensive external and internal publicity regarding Operations Eagle Eye and Talon for 3 months using own material and CST material (June September). Funding applications and ideas for bigger campaign being considered. Two meetings held so far (1/00)

 

Youth Robbers Fast Track Programme

The implementation of Home Office recommendations for the speedy hearing and sentencing of serious repeat offenders

Targets have been set nationally and a Home office pan London pilot project has been established. Performance targets established
