
Immigration Service
The Immigration Service is one of the primary
contacts in cases of trafficking. It has generic responsibilities that
principally cover establishing immigration status and considering any
applications for leave to enter.
By virtue of their role, they are well positioned to
assist with:
§
the identification of victims and traffickers;
§
facilitating returns to their home country;
§
provision of initial support for victims and potential
victims and contacting relevant referral agencies.
