Immigration status of traffickers and trafficked victims


The immigration status of traffickers can be a basis for stopping them entering the country and thus a useful way of disrupting their activity.

There is scope under existing guidance for a temporary regularisation of immigration status for trafficked victims, in accordance with Home Office Circular 12/97.
