Results Analysis
This is a new discipline which evaluates the effectiveness of partnership activities.
The technique may be used to identify best practice and highlight areas for improvement.
Results analysis can also be a valuable tool for monitoring the progress of plans.
Example – results analysis
The identification of a crime and disorder hotspot resulted in the compilation
of a partnership hot spot management plan: controls on licensed premises; installation
of better lighting; proactive crime prevention advice and help campaign; installation
of CCTV; directed partner activity and an extension of neighbourhood watch.
As the plan was executed, results analysis was conducted to establish the nature
in the changes in crime and disorder patterns brought about, whether displacement
had occurred, which measures appeared to have the greatest impact, the level of community
satisfaction and the amount of support for the partnership’s actions.
This then enabled the tasking and co-ordination group to consider the effectiveness
of the activity and would strengthen any future bids for funds
