The Coordinated Community Response (CCR) model of domestic violence illustrates the inter-relationship of agencies and levels of response for tackling domestic violence. It recognises and makes explicit that no one agency can deal effectively and safely with the effects of domestic violence.
The CCR was developed during 2006-7. The model is designed to assist local partnerships identify the dynamics of domestic violence and how it plays out in a community and social context.
We hope that local partnerships will adapt this model to ensure that their limited resources are targeted at the most vulnerable victims using the available public protection frameworks as a guide to safety.

To support local partnerships we have developed a toolkit with the Greater London Domestic Violence project. The toolkit brings together guidance, research, polices and information in one place and can be accessed at the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) website.
Davina James-Hanman, Director of the Greater London Domestic Violence project said:
'If a local area uses the model to map local services and identifies any gaps, they now have a one stop web resource where they can find out current research, guidance, policies and examples of initiatives in other areas of the country.
We are confident this valuable resource will help to prevent people constantly reinventing the wheel and be able to learn from others - and of course to let us know about their local achievements for us to share via the website'
