The Home Office taken forward various campaigns to raise awareness about domestic violence and abuse.
The Enough campaign, which focuses on third-party witnessess who are aware of domestic violence in families wa srolled out to the SDVC areas in March April 2007.
Research was carried out before and after the previous Enough campaign (which ran from February to April 2006) ran. The areas included in the research were Plymouth and Devon, Leeds and the Midlands and found that there was a significant difference in the awareness following the advertising (the rate went from 37% to 50%). It also found that following the campaign respondents were more likely to interviewn by either calling the police or giving assistance to the victim.

This leaflet entitled 'You Don't Have to Live in Fear' offers advice to people suffering domestic abuse. It offers practical advice on people moving away, financial support and caring for children.
