Recycling assets to tackle gun crime
£1.5 million of confiscated criminals' money is to be put back into the community to tackle gun crime. The £1.5m funding has been allocated from recovered criminal assets seized by the law enforcement and prosecuting agencies. Money seized from criminals will directly benefit communities who suffer the consequences of crime.
The areas most affected by gun crime will receive the greatest share of the pot. The funds have been allocated to regional Government Offices as follows:

Each Government Office is responsible for the distribution of funds within its area. Partnerships interested in the distribution of these funds should contact their local Government Office in the first instance. No allocation has been made to Wales or to North-East England.
