Community Justice Training Organisation (CJNTO)

The Community Justice National Training Organisation (CJNTO) promotes education, training and development for those working in the community justice sector.

Note: In April 2004 the CJNTO merged with the Custodial Care NTO and the Police Skills and Standards Organisation NTO to form Skills for Justice

CJNTO information is for those seeking to reduce crime, develop safer communities and promote social inclusion, working in the community with adults and young people who commit crime, or are at risk of doing so, working with the victims of crime and witnesses, and working with families and children under the family court jurisdiction.

People to whom CJNTO education and learning opportunities are likely to apply include:

  • probation staff of all grades

  • probation volunteers

  • Community safety coordinators

  • staff in voluntary organisations

  • crime reduction officers

  • victim support services

  • witness services

  • community safety projects.
