Introduction to Youth Offending

Hello and welcome to our bench-marking group on Youth Offending!

We invite you to submit to us examples of best practice, good information sharing protocols and any problems you may be experiencing or progress in tackling Youth Offending. This group will only be as good as you (the practitioners!)

You can use this link to the Crime Reduction Discussion Forum, where you can share your views on this topic, and ask questions to us or others in the field.

Youth Offending Teams have been making a vital contribution towards reducing crime. Below, you can access some material on Information Sharing.

We have included three links, guidance on youth offending teams (YOT’s), their importance and purpose, from the Youth Justice Board; the second link is to the Crime Concern website, which has guidance on Youth Offending teams and the third link is to the NACRO website, which has useful literature on involving youths more in the community. We will be placing examples on youth offending here, imminently.
